There are many that stand against the tenants of chaos; Be it the chaos of society’s dis-empowered or the chaos born from the reckless magicks of would-be dabblers of creation. There lies a clandestine sect of white mages, sworn to uphold order in a different sense. Through the use of ancient arts, these white mages pull at the aether of the stars to divine the future, preserve the present, and keep well the weave of history’s past. Take heed, the Cosmo Curators harness the power of the stars to keep Chaos and its many forms at bay.//

Cosmo Curator is an archetype of the White Mage.

Curator of the Stars (Su)

At 1st level, the cosmo curator peers into the will of the cosmo for a glimpse of the true path. At the start of each day, the cosmo curator gains an amount of d6s, called the Destiny Dice, equal to their Charisma modifier (minimum of 1). As part of rolling initiative, the cosmo curator may roll one destiny dice and add the result to his initiative bonus. The cosmo curator can also choose to spend his destiny dice for an additional effect from the choices below:
Cosmic Urgency: As a free action, the cosmo curator can choose to add the result of their destiny die as an insight bonus to the initiative of a friendly creature within 30ft or sacrifice it to allow themselves or an allied creature to act in a surprise round. The cosmo curator must be able to see or hear the allied creature in order to bestow this benefit.
Star Power: The cosmo curator can add the result of his destiny die to one variable aspect of his next spell. This includes the duration, damage, and healing but not the casting time, range, MP cost, augments, or effect of the spell. This requires an immediate action once a spell is cast.
A cosmo curator regains their destiny dice with 8 hours rest, although these hours need not be consecutive. The cosmo curator cannot use a destiny die if they are not in control of their mental faculties (such as being charmed, fascinated, berserked, confused, etc.) or in an area where divination is impossible (such as antimagic fields).

Cosmo Curators can use Destiny Dice while unable to see the sky, but cannot recover them without doing so (GM discretion)

This replaces Overheal.

Cosmic Arts (Su)
The cosmo curator learns more techniques to channel the providence found within the stars. At 2nd level, and every even level thereafter, the curator can learn a Cosmic Art in place of an opal talent. A Cosmic Art grants new uses for the destiny die or gives the white mage new options to better hone their craft. Any cosmic art that may require the use of a Destiny die are marked with an asterisk(*) next to their entry. Some cosmic arts may have prerequisites for the cosmo curator to meet before being able to select the art.

Motes of Stellar Power (Su)*: Whenever a cosmo curator casts a spell or uses a destiny die, they generate a small, star-like mote that orbits their space called a stellar mote. The curator may have a number of motes equal to their Charisma modifier (minimum 1) that orbits their space at a time. However, a cosmo curator can only generate one stellar mote per round. The motes give off light like a torch that increases in distance by 5ft per mote that shares the same space. Each mote lasts 1 minute; this duration is refreshed when a new mote is spawned. A curator may shoot a mote as a move action to a space within a range of Close (25ft + 5ft per 2 caster levels) and burst into light. This dazzling light affects a 5ft burst. Creatures caught in the area must make a Reflex saving throw (10 + half your white mage level(rounded down) + your Wisdom modifier) or be dazzled for 1 round.

Motes of Stellar Sting (Su)*: The cosmo curator can spend 2 MP or a Destiny Die to convert a stellar mote into a casting of Verruin, creating an unerring dart of cosmic force as a swift action. This casting of Verruin cannot be augmented in any way. The cosmo curator can then fire all cosmic darts they have as a standard action if they so choose; if not the dart(s) continues to orbit the curator for the remaining duration of a stellar mote. Should the curator cast a healing spell or abjuration spell they may fire the darts to any nearby creatures within range but must increase the casting time of the spell to a full round action to do so. Prerequisites: Motes of Stellar Power

Starry Stride (Su): The cosmo curator has gleaned the secrets of the corridors found between space. The curator can cast Dimensional Slide at the cost of 2 stellar motes. If the curator uses 3 or more stellar motes, the casting of Dimensional Slide does not provoke an attack of opportunity. Prerequisites: Motes of Stellar power, White Mage 6.

Gift of the Nebula (Ex): The cosmo curator further draws on the mystical energies of foreign stars. Once per day, the curator can spend a move action to roll a destiny Die and add the result as MP to their Aetherial Reservoir. This cannot be used to grant additional MP over the maximum allowed by their reservoir. Any MP granted that go over your maximum are lost. Prerequisites: Aetherial Reservoir.

Northwain’s Blessing (Su)*: The cosmo curator can spend a destiny die to touch one held weapon as a standard action. Weapons or ammunition touched by the curator are wrapped in starlight, gaining the ghost touch special weapon quality. This benefit lasts for 1 minute before dissipating. This ability can affect up to 10 pieces of ammunition. At 6th level, weapons that critically strike a creature flash them with starlight. This can trigger any weaknesses to light sensitivity and instills a -2 penalty to saving throws for 1 round.

Star Map (Ex): The cosmo curator uses the night’s sky to find the true way. So long as the curator can see the sky, they always know where the general direction of North is. In addition, this provides them a +4 insight bonus on Survival and Knowledge(geography) checks to avoid getting lost.

Astrochart (Su)*: The curator can call on the stars to mark a target. As a standard action, a curator can spend a destiny die to mark a creature or object within 60ft. If the target is a creature or a magic item, they must make a Fortitude saving throw (10 + half your white mage level + your Wisdom modifier). On a failure, so long as you can see the night’s sky and the creature or object is visible to the night’s sky, you can concentrate to sense the approximate direction and distance of your target. This is accurate enough to track the target but not enough to pinpoint the exact square your target occupies (such as with an attack). It takes a standard action to concentrate and track the target for 1 minute. The target is marked for 24 hours before the effect dissipates. Mundane objects do not receive a saving throw and magic items may add their caster level as a resistance bonus to the ability.

Northwain’s Glow (Su)*: The cosmo curator summons the wrath of the heavens to decimate despots. The curator can spend a destiny die to create a number of 10ft wide, 30ft tall pillars of raging starlight. The curator can make as many pillars equal to their Charisma modifier and may target a square within 60ft. Creature’s caught in the area must make a Reflex save (10 + half your white mage level(rounded down) + your Wisdom modifier) or take 4d6 points of non-elemental damage. A success halves this damage. Creatures that fail the save by 5 or more are also afflicted with the pyretic condition for 3 rounds. Each pillar can be merged, requiring an additional saving throw for each merging pillar. However, for each merged pillar, the DC of this ability suffers a cumulative -1 penalty. This ability is a force effect. Prerequisites: White Mage 8.

Curator’s Suit/Dress (Su)*: The curator can adorn the garments of the stars to dazzle all. The cosmo curator can spend a destiny die as a swift action to blanket their form in a garb as black as the void but embellished with stars and nebulas. Hostile creatures that attempt to attack or target the curator within 30ft must make a Will saving throw (10 + half your white mage level(rounded down) + your Wisdom modifier) or gain the fascinated condition for 1 round, losing their attack. The garb lasts for 1 minute and may be bestowed on allies with a touch, requiring a standard action. This an illusory, pattern effect.
Prerequisites: White Mage 4.

Stellar Presentation (Ex): The curator can use the child-like wonder and fear of the stars to great effect. Whenever the curator uses a Cosmic Art or casts a non-cantrip spell, they briefly flash with heavenly colors around their form. This grants a +4 circumstance bonus to their next Diplomacy or Intimidate check within 1 minute. Creatures with bonuses against illusions and pattern effects may add that bonus to the DC of the check. Prerequisites: White Mage 4.

Starfire (Su): The cosmo curator channels star power to blanket their foes in astral heat. As a full round action, the curator can spend 3 stellar motes as a standard action to shoot a 30ft line of starfire. Creatures caught in the line must make a Reflex save (DC = 10 + half your white mage level(rounded down) + your Wisdom modifier) or take 8d6 + your Wisdom modifier points of damage. This damage is half holy, half fire. A success reduces the damage by half. If the curator spends a destiny die as part of the action, they transform the starfire from a 30ft line to a 30ft cone. Prerequisites: Motes of Stellar power, Motes of Stellar Sting, White Mage 10.
