Effect: If the target is suffering from an ongoing effect, they must make a Fortitude save (DC 10 + 1/2 Bard Level + Charisma modifier), or have its duration reduced by one round. If such an effect would heal them or damage them (such as fast healing or bleed damage, respectively), they receive the consequences of that effect as if a round had passed.

The bard may choose which effect is affected, but if applicable, must always choose an effect that damages or heals the target.

If an ongoing effect has no duration (such as most sources of bleed damage), they merely receive the consequences as if a round had passed.

Finale: This song can expend up to four tempo. For every 2 tempo, the effect's duration is reduced by an additional round, and consequences are received for each round the duration is reduced by. If rounds are removed in excess of the target effect's duration, the effect simply ends, only receiving the consequences of the rounds remaining in the effect's duration before this song is played.

Effect: The stone is shaped by song, rising up to form a barrier. The square is impassable and provides total cover for any creature, on any side. The barrier has hardness 10 and 5 HP per bard level, and lasts a number of rounds equal to the bard’s Charisma modifier.

Finale: This song can expend up to four tempo. Each tempo increases the range by 5 feet, and conjures an additional barrier per tempo. These additional barriers need not be connected to one another.

Effect: The bard summons a semi-ethereal anvil, attached by a chain to the target’s leg. This causes the target to move at half speed and prevents the target from flying, causing them to fall normally. This effect lasts for a single round.

Finale: This song can expend any amount of tempo. For every two tempo, the duration increases by one round. For every six tempo, an additional target may be selected.

Battle On The Big Bridge

Effect: The bard binds an ally and an enemy with song, all but enforcing a fight. This lasts a number of rounds equal to the Bard’s Charisma modifier.

Finale: This song can expend up to 6 tempo. Each tempo increases the duration by round. Every 3 tempo increases the bonus and penalty by +2 and -2 respectively.

Song Of The Mind’s Eye

Effect: The bard pulses their song-powered energy in all directions, from a distant point. The Bard’s song clings to any being within the area, who, if they fail a reflex save (DC 10 + Cha modifier + ½ Bard level), are outlined in a glowing light. Anything attacking a target outlined by Song Of The Mind’s Eye gain a +2 bonus to hit, as long as they are within 30 feet of the target of the attack. This lasts for a number of rounds equal to the Bard’s Charisma modifier.

Finale: This song may spend any number of Tempo, in increments of two. Each two spent allows the bard to exclude one target. The bard is never affected by Song Of The Mind’s Eye by default.

In Flames Be His Name, Oh Lord Of The Inferno

Finale: This song must expend at least 2 tempo to use, and can expend up to 4 more. Every 2 beyond the base cost creates another pillar of flame, at a different location. The pillars cannot overlap.

Effect: This song grants fast healing to the bard and all allies within range, for a number of rounds equal to the bard’s charisma modifier. This song cannot be used out of combat, but can be used at the end of combat to expend all remaining Tempo.

Finale: This song must expend at least 1 tempo, and can expend as much tempo after that as the bard wants. Each tempo, including the base cost, boosts the fast healing number by 1.

Finale: This song can expend up to 6 tempo. Each two tempo adds an additional D6 of damage, and at 3 and 6 tempo, the cone extends an extra 10 feet.

Effect: The bard invokes a tale of Shiva, creating a wall of ice 5 foot thick, and 10 foot line, originating from within 30 feet. Any creature in the wall’s path takes 3d6 magic ice damage, and makes a Reflex save (DC 10 + Chorus level + Cha modifier + ½ Bard level) or is knocked prone and out of the wall’s path, as decided by the GM.

Finale: This song can expend up to 8 tempo. Each 4 tempo spent adds an additional 1d6, and every two tempo extends the wall by 5 feet.

Prelude Of A Battle Of Death

Effect: The bard plays a small ditty that prepares himself for the battle ahead. This Chorus can be played just before rolling initiative, as a swift action. This adds the Bard’s Charisma modifier to his Initiative roll. If the battle begins with this song, the Bard immediately enters rhythm with 1 tempo already built up.

Refrain Of A Sunleth Princess

Effect: The bard channels the song of a legendary hunt, for a princess of the waterscape. The targeted enemy takes 2d6 Fire, 2d6 Lightning and 2d6 Ice damage, adding his charisma modifier to all three damage types, and makes a Will save (DC 10 + Chorus level + CHA mod + ½ Bard level) to half the Fire damage, Reflex to half the lightning damage and a Fortitude to half the Ice damage.

Finale: This song can expend up to 6 tempo. At 2, the fire damage increases by 2d6. At 4, the ice damage also increases by 2d6, and at 6, the lightning damage also increases by 2d6.

Finale: This song can expend 4 tempo. At 2 tempo, the range increases to 15 feet. At 4 tempo, the damage increases to 6d6.

Effect: The Bard’s song inspires the wild to their aid. The bard conjures 7 Yellow Chocobos, under the Bard’s command.

Finale: This song must be performed as a finale with 2 tempo, and can expend any amount of tempo more, in increments of 2. Every 2 extra tempo conjures an additional chocobo. If a total of 4 extra is spent, all the chocobos gain the Advanced Template, and if a total of 8 is spent, all the chocobos gain the Giant Template.

Dance For The Astral Moon

Effect: The bard’s song reaches the soul of a lost warrior. For 1 minute, the Bard is wreathed in armor of shadow, functioning as +2 ghost touch full plate, with no ASF or Max Dex. While this armor is worn, the Bard can enter Rhythm, but gain no tempo. In addition, one weapon becomes a +2 ghost touch weapon that deals Dark damage in place of physical damage.

Finale: This song must be performed as a finale with two tempo, and can expend an additional 6 tempo. For every two tempo spent, the weapon and armor’s flat enchantment bonus increase by one.

Level 6 Songs

The bard must be level 16 to learn these songs.

Bring It On Home

Effect: The bard calls upon ancient gods to summon a burning zeppelin of lead to crash down on all who oppose him, dealing physFire damage to all enemies within range based on the tempo expended. A Reflex save halves the damage dealt by this song. The bard and all allies are unaffected, a blessing granted by the ancient gods.

Finale: This song must expend at least 10 tempo, and can expend as much tempo after that as the bard wants. Each tempo, including the base cost, increases the damage by 1d6 points. For every 2 temp expended above the base cost, the saving throw DC increases by 1. For every 5 temp expended above the base cost, the radius increases by 20ft.

Hymn Of The Wounded Angel Of One Wing

Finale: This song must expend at least 12 tempo, and can expend an additional 3 more. Doing so grants the Bard themself another turn, but they cannot enter a Rhythm during it.

Sage’s Great Spell, Immortal Through Song

Finale: This song must expend at least 8 tempo, and can expend as much tempo after that as the bard wants. Each tempo increases one of the three damage types by 1d6 points. For every 2 temp expended above the base cost, the saving throw DC increases by 1. For every 5 temp expended above the base cost, the radius increases by 10ft.

Finale: This song must expend at least 6 tempo, and can expend more in increments in 4, Every 4 extra tempo expended, the target must make an additional will save, with each failed save forcing one turn to be skipped. These turns can be consecutive, if multiple saves are failed.
