Standard Racial Traits
Ability Score Racial Traits: Gria are physically inclined, but lack raw magical talent. Gria gain a +2 bonus to Strength and Dexterity, but take a -2 penalty to Intelligence
Type: Gria are humanoids with the Gria and Draconic subtypes.
Size: Gria are Medium creatures
Base Speed: 30ft. Gria also have a limited capability to fly (See Weakened Flight).
Languages: Gria begin play speaking Common and Draconic. Gria with high intelligence scores can choose any language they want as bonus languages.
Defensive Racial Traits:
Hardy: Gria gain a +2 racial bonus on saving throws against poison, spells, and spell-like abilities.
Grian Immunities: Gria are immune to magical sleep effects and gain a +2 racial bonus against spells or other effects that would inflict the Paralysed condition.
Feat and Skill Racial Traits:
Weapon Proficiency: Gria are skilled in the art of swordplay, gaining either Weapon Proficiency (Light Blades) or Weapon Proficiency (Heavy Blades) as a bonus feat.
Movement Racial Traits:
Weakened Flight: Gria have a fly speed of 30ft with Average maneuverability, however unlike true flight, Gria must end their flight solidly supported or they fall. Normally, Gria can only fly while wearing light or no armour, however if a Gria can move in Medium or Heavy armour without a speed penalty, they can fly in it without penalty as well. Additionally, a conscious Gria never takes fall damage, regardless of how far they fall or what armour they are wearing.
Senses Racial Traits:
Draconic Eyes: Gria have darkvision out to 60ft and low-light vision.
Other Racial Traits:
Dragonblood: As is evident due to their appearance, Gria have strong draconic ties, which means that spells, effects, abilities, etc, that affect or target dragons also affect Gria. Gria are also subject to harmful effects that affect dragons, but, Gria can make use of magic items usually only usable by dragons.
Favoured Class Bonus:
Black Belt: Add 1 foot to the black belt's base speed (Both their land and flight speeds). In combat this has an effect only for every five increases to the black belt's base speed.
Dark Knight: Gain +1/3 of an extra point of inner darkness.
Knight: Add +1/4 DR /- when taking damage in place of an ally.
Mystic Knight: Add +1/3 to the resistance sentinel provides against the element the mystic knight’s attuned element is strong against.
Paladin: Add +1 to the number of rounds they can be in convalescence per day.
Samurai: Add +1/3 to their attack roll when using shirahadori.
Warrior: Add +1/4 to the warrior’s effective level to determine their chosen weapon bonus. This bonus only applies if Light or Heavy Blades are chosen as the warrior’s chosen weapon group.
