Bard Encore Talents
Bards can choose a Bardic talent at level 2 and every even level afterwards. If a Bardic Talent modifies or adjusts Versatile Performance, it will be denoted with a (VP) at the end. If a Bardic Talent modifies Battle Tempo, it will be denoted with (BT) at the end.
| Talent Name | Prerequisites | Effect |
| Extended Tempo (BT) | Battle Tempo Class Feature | The range of Battle Tempo is increased to 60 feet. |
| Extend Song | None | The bard can use this talent a number of times per day equal to 3+Charisma modifier. When using this talent and performing a Song, the range for that chorus is increased by 30 feet. |
| Expand Song | Extend Song | The bard doubles their uses of Extend Song, and may use it to increase the area of effect of a song by 10 feet. This talent is applied as a free action alongside the Song being affected |
| Quicken Song | None | The bard can use this talent a number of times per day equal to 3+Charisma modifier. The bard can use this talent to perform a Song as a move action instead of a standard action. This talent is applied as a free action alongside the Song being affected |
| Empower Song | None | The bard can use this talent a number of times per day equal to 3+Charisma modifier. All variable, numeric effects of a song are increased by half including bonuses to those dice rolls. Saving throws and opposed rolls are not affected, nor are spells without random variables. This talent is applied as a free action alongside the Song being affected |
| Contingency Song | None | The bard can use this talent a number of times per day equal to 3 + charisma modifier. When performing a song, the Bard may delay it’s effects until either they opt to trigger it as a swift action, or it meets a set prerequisite, such as “Perform this when an enemy approaches me”. When a Contingency song is in use, the bard cannot perform that song until the Contingency triggers. The Contingency lasts a number of rounds equal to 1 + charisma modifier |
| Tempo of Celerity (BT) | Battle Tempo Class Feature | In place of Battle Tempo’s normal buff, the Bard can take an additional move action, but only to move himself, and only up to double his movespeed in the one turn. This movement provokes as normal. |
| Shared Tempo of Celerity (BT) | Tempo of Celerity (BT) | Tempo of Celerity can now be used on an ally within Battle Tempo’s normal range, to give them a move action to move during the bard’s turn. This movement provokes as normal. |
| Steel Golem Tempo (BT) | Battle Tempo Class Feature | In place of Battle Tempo’s bonus to attack and damage, the Bard can provide a Deflection bonus to AC equal to his Charisma modifier to himself. This does not stack with any other form of Charisma to AC, and cannot exceed the bard’s class level in Bard. |
| Shared Golem Tempo (BT) | Steel Golem Tempo (BT) | Golem Tempo can now be used on an ally within Battle Tempo’s normal range, to give them a Deflection bonus to AC equal to the Bard’s Charisma bonus. This does not stack with any other form of Charisma to AC, and cannot exceed the bard’s class level in bard, unless the bard has no levels in other classes |
| A Picture Paints a Thousand Words (VP) | Versatile Performance class Feature | When the bard takes this talent, they gain an additional Versatile Performance that works with Craft (Painting) and substitutes for two of the following skills, chosen when taking the talent: Bluff, Diplomacy, Linguistics, or Sense Motive |
| Elemental Shredding Song | Earshredding Ballad Class Feature | Upon taking the talent, the Bard chooses Fire, Ice, Lightning, Water, Earth, Wind, Holy or Shadow damage. He can do that type of damage in place of Sonic damage for any instance of Earshredding Ballad |
| Ear-Tearing Ballad | Earshredding Ballad Class Feature | The Bard’s Earshredding Ballad now uses D8s in place of D6s. |
| Orchestral Combination | Let’s Put On A Show | When two or more bards with this talent are within 30 feet of each other, they may form an orchestra as a free action. Orchestras pool their tempos together, allowing the bards to build up a much bigger rhythm quicker. Spending tempo from the Orchestra expends all tempo as normal. In addition, using Let’s Put On A Show on another bard within the Orchestra doesn’t expend a use, but expends two tempo from the Orchestra instead. |
| Amplifier! | None | The bard can use this talent a number of times per day equal to 3 + charisma modifier. When performing a song, the bard may make it louder, ignoring the effects of cover and allowing him to target the song anywhere within earshot rather than line of sight. He must be aware of where he is targeting, but does not need to see it. |
| Bardic Lecture | None | Whenever the bard triggers Battle Tempo, he can forgo the normal bonus and instead provide a skill bonus to an ally in any skill he is trained in. The bonus is equal to the bards Cha mod. This does not stack with aid another, but counts as it for features and feats. - Contributed by A_Random_Odin |
