DESCRIPTION
This spell was made by a white mage who was determined to make statuettes as a living. This spell fed that mage's artistic sensibilities until more practical arcane acolytes found an alternate use for the spell in wartime. This spell allowed nations to capture key targets disguised as ordinary statues.
Make a melee touch attack to a creature within range. Should you hit and they fail a Fortitude save, they gain the Petrified status. A success negates this effect.
Active Augment: By spending an additional 3 MP, you can instead make this a ranged touch attack with a range of Close(25ft + 5 per two caster levels), 6 MP for medium (100ft +10ft per two caster levels), and 9 MP Long (400ft + 40ft per two caster levels).
Passive Augment:
*Level 2 Break* (17 MP), the Break spell is now a 20ft burst.
*Level 3 Break* (20 MP), the Break spell now has a duration of permanent on a failed save. If the condition is not cured within 1 year, the creature can never regain its flesh and remains a statue.
