Enough expository banter! Now we fight like men! And ladies! And ladies who dress like men! For Gilgamesh…it is morphing time!

Kabuki Warlord is an archetype for Gambler class.

Kabuki Proficiency

Kabuki Warlords are proficient in light blades, heavy blades, spears and polearms, and any weapon created by the Genji Reel.

In addition, the Kabuki Warlord’s BAB increases to +1 every level, and he has a D10 hit die.

This modifies weapon and armor proficiency, and replaces Lucky Cards.

Limit Break

Kabuki Warlords can only choose the Battle mode, and use the following unique limit break

Morphing Time! (Ex): The Kabuki Warlord changes form, growing extra weapon-wielding arms temporarily. As a full-round action, For every two stacks of Limit Break gauge expended, the Kabuki Warlord makes a full attack plus one additional attack using a weapon from Genji Reels, rolled for each attack beforehand. If 10 or more stacks are used, any occurrences of Excalipoor may be rerolled for any of the attacks.

This modifies Limit Break.

Genji Gears

Genji Gears function as Dressed To The Nines, except it applies only while wielding a weapon generated by the Genji Reel. In addition, for each piece of Genji Gear the Kabuki Warlord is wearing, he gains a bonus to max HP equal to ½ his Kabuki Warlord level (min 1). The first time each day he gains this boost, he also heals for that amount.

This modifies Dressed To The Nines.

The Genji Reel

The Kabuki Warlord gains access to a unique reel, the Genji Reel, at 1st level. At 10th level, they gain access to the Attack Reel, and at 15th level, they gain access to the Magic Reel. They do not get access to any other Reel. Weapons drawn from the Genji reel last a number of rounds equal to the Kabuki Warlord’s Charisma modifier + 1, and at 4th and every 4 levels, the weapon gains a +1 enchantment to it, to a max of +5 at level 20. When using the Genji Reel, the Kabuki Warlord may also full attack on the same turn. The Kabuki Warlord may take Weapon Focus (Genji Weapons) to apply to anything that comes from the Genji Reel.

Table: The Genji Reel

Roll D100 Genji Reel result
1 - 10 Excalipoor (Ex): The Kabuki Warlord draws the most important weapon known to man. Excalibur(?). But… Wasn’t Excalibur red? Any attacks with this weapon that hit deal 1 damage. This damage cannot be resisted, nor can they be negated if they hit, but nothing can increase the damage above 1. Otherwise, Excalipoor is a Bastard Sword mechanically. Luck cannot be used to reroll a result of Excalipoor.
11 - 19 Naginata (Ex): The Kabuki Warlord draws a polearm designed to strike from afar. The weapon follows the Naginata weapon profile.
20 - 29 Genji Blade (Ex): The Kabuki Warlord draws a sword capable of harming a foes resolve in a pinch. The Genji Blade is a katana, following the normal weapon profile. In addition, each hit reduces the target’s limit break gauge by 2. The Genji Blade also triggers the Genji Gear’s HP boost.
30 - 39 Zantetsuken (Ex): The Kabuki Warlord draws Odin’s own blade. Zantetsuken is a longsword with a x5 crit modifier, and deals physLightning damage.
41 - 49 Axe (Ex): The Kabuki Warlord draws a short axe with immense, but oft misplaced, power. The Axe is a Greataxe, except it’s damage dice is a flat 1d20 + modifier, no matter the size.
50 - 59 Chicken Knife (Ex): The Kabuki Warlord draws a tiny knife with immense power in a pinch. The Chicken Knife is a Dagger, except it gains +2 damage and to hit for every 10% of the Kabuki Warlord’s HP is missing, maxed at 70% missing.
60 - 69 Brotherhood (Ex): The Kabuki Warlord draws a liquid blade, flowing as it strikes. The Brotherhood is a Longsword, except it deals physWater damage, and the Kabuki Warlord can make a 5 foot step with every attack he makes.
70 - 79 Masamune (Ex): The Kabuki Warlord draws a blade so renowned that all others stop in awe. The Masamune is a Katana that immediately moves the Kabuki Warlord to the top of the initiative as if he rolled one higher than the person on top. This does not grant anyone new turns, but does keep him there. The Masamune also triggers the Genji Gear HP Boost
80 - 89 Tournesol (Ex): The Kabuki Warlord draws a large sword, with the twin symbols of the sun and moon. Tournesol is a greatsword that deals half physHoly and half physDark damage.
90 - 99 Twin Death: You roll twice and draw two weapons, and can dual wield them as if one is one-handed and one is light-handed, regardless of what actual weapons they are. Reroll any further occurrences of Twin Death, and Luck cannot be used to reroll the follow up rolls.
100 Excalibur (Ex): The Kabuki Warlord draws the most important weapon known to man, Excalibur(!) This one is actually red!. Excalibur is a bastard sword that counts as one size higher (That stacks with other virtual size increases), deals phys-holy damage and adds their kabuki warlord level as a circumstance bonus to hit.

This modifies Reels.

Genji Training

At 1st level, The Kabuki Warlord gains the Warrior’s Weapon Training class feature, except it applies only to the weapons found in the Genji Reel.

This replaces Flurry of Cards, Gambling Tricks, Gambler’s Guile, Gillionaire and Fixed Dice.

Stalwart

At 2nd level, The Kabuki Warlord can use physical resiliency to avoid certain attacks. If she makes a Fortitude saving throw against an attack that has a reduced effect on a successful save, she instead avoids the effect entirely. This can only take effect while the Kabuki Warlord has a Genji Reel weapon in hand.

This replaces Evasion

Blades of Wind

At 5th level, instead of Two Dice, the Kabuki Warlord gains the following:

Wind Slash: The Kabuki Warlord, as a standard action, can strike a foe up to 30 feet away with a forceful gust of wind. The Kabuki warlord deals his current weapon’s damage, as a ranged attack.

After performing Wind Slash, the Kabuki Warlord cannot use it for 1d4+1 rounds.

Improved Stalwart

At 12th level, Stalwart also applies to Will saves, unless that will save is involved in convincing the Kabuki Warlord that the other person’s name is Bartz or a variation.

This replaces Improved Evasion.
