While blessed with the power of the dragon, like most dragoon, Dragonspear Masters abandon their supernatural prowess in return for greater martial prowess.
Dragonspear Master is an archetype of Dragoon.
Long Weapon Training
At 1st level, a dragonspear master chooses either the spears or polearms weapon group as his chosen weapons. He gains a +1 bonus on attack and damage rolls with his chosen weapon group. The bonus improves by +1 for every four levels beyond 1st. Long weapon training counts as weapon training for the purposes of prerequisites.
Spear Training replaces Dragonforce and Pseudocasting at 1st level. Dragonspear Masters do not have a MP pool, nor any other benefits of pseudocasting, such as a caster level.
Spear Warrior Talents
At 2nd level, and every even level afterwards, the Dragoon may select either a Dragon Talent or a Warrior Talent.
Warrior talents can be found here.
This modifies Dragon Talents.
Pole Fighting
At 4th level, the dragoon gains Haft Strike as a bonus feat even if he does not meet the prerequisites.
This ability replaces the Dragonforce at 4th level.
Bracing Spear
At 7th level, the dragoon gains proficiency in bucklers, light and heavy shields, and when the dragoon wields a light or heavy shield, they can use any spear or polearm of his size as a one-handed weapon.
Bracing Spear replaces the Dragonforce gained at 7th level.
Flexible Flanker (Ex)
At 10th level, a dragoon may choose any square adjacent to him and treat that square as his location for determining who he is flanking, even if that square is occupied by a creature, object, or solid barrier.
This ability replaces the Dragonforce at 10th level.
Sweeping Fend (Ex)
At 13th level, a dragoon can use any spear or polearm to make bull rush maneuvers, though he takes a –4 penalty on combat maneuver checks when making such attempts. When using a spear or polearm to make a trip maneuver, he treats these weapons as if they had the trip weapon feature.
This ability replaces the Dragonforce at 13th level.
Step Aside (Ex)
At 16th level, when a creature threatened by a dragoon takes a 5-foot step into a square adjacent to him, he can take a 5-foot step as an immediate action. This 5-foot step must be subtracted from his movement on the next turn. He also gains a +2 dodge bonus to his AC against that opponent until the end of his next turn.
This ability replaces the Dragonforce at 16th level.
Dancing Shaft (Ex)
At 17th level, the dragoon gains Strong (Physical) until the beginning of his next turn whenever he successfully hits with a Jump boosted charge
This ability replaces Blood Of The Dragon.
Polearm Parry (Ex)
At 19th level, when an opponent threatened by a dragoon makes a melee attack against an ally, he may take an immediate action to grant his ally a +2 shield bonus to AC and DR 5/— against that attack. He may use this ability to protect himself, but only if the attacking creature is not adjacent to him.
This ability replaces the Dragonforce at 19th level.
Spear Lord (Ex)
At 20th level, the dragoon treats his reach as 5 foot greater when using a polearm or spear, and they treat their land speed as double for the purposes of jump.
This replaces Immense Dragonforce.
