DESCRIPTION
This spell was created as an offshoot of an abjuration spell that was tailored to not only remove protective enchantments, but to suppress any further enchantments used on the subject. This spell surrounds the hand of the caster in etchings of arcane runes; twisting in a spiral like a drill through stone.

Make a melee touch attack and choose between targeting a single, small to medium sized object (this applies to weapons, armor, and gear appropriately sized to a creature).. Should the caster successfully touch a suit of armor or shield, the item immediately takes 5 points of damage. This damage ignores the hardness provided by non-magical items and gear. This spell can also target magical items and force effects that provide an armor bonus or shield bonus, such as Mage Armor. Enchanted weapons, armor, and other magical gear are allowed a Fortitude saving throw to resist the effect, using the effective caster level required to create the item as a resistance bonus to the save. Any item with the broken condition that is affected by this spell (or fails the saving throw; as with magical gear) is immediately destroyed as if the hit point total of the item was reduced to 0.

Spells that provide an armor or shield bonus reduce that bonus by 2 points each time the spell affects them. Should the bonus provided by such spells be reduced to 0 or lower, it is immediately removed; as if dispelled with no need for an opposed check.

Active Augment: For every 3 MP spent on the spell, increase the damage done to an item by 5 or reduce an armor or shield bonus by 1 (caster’s choice).

Passive Augments:
Harrowing Breach (12MP): The spell changes it’s range from touch to Close (25ft + 5ft per 2 caster levels) and gains the Effect of a Ray. Up to two rays can be fired upon reaching this augment.
