Both Kojin of the Blue and Red harbor a deep respect for the kami within mundane items, and offer them worship. These kojin are aware of the powers the kami hold, and may grant blessings or strike with their might. To them, a red feather holds more value and power than some materia of a known deity, as this is their way of life. Even in times of conflict, they make time to give praise and thanks to these kami that watch over them.
The votary is an archetype of the astrologian class, available only to kojin astrologians.

The votary mainly focuses on DEX for combat and WIS for their class features and spellcasting, as well as CHA for an optional class feature.
Archetype Feature Replacements:
1st – Star Globe, Draw. 4th – Royal Road. 5th – Minor Arcana.
Knick Knack Box (Su)
Beginning of 1st level, the votary is able to call upon the kami within his knick knack box. It is the central foci for the votary’s Draw abilities. Functioning only in the hands of a votary, as a standard action, the knick knack box can deal 1d4 + his Wisdom modifier points of non-elemental damage if blank, or based upon the manifested symbol upon the box if Draw was used this round. The votary must make a ranged touch attack that has a range of 25 feet + 5 feet per two astrologian levels after 1st.
This ability replaces star globe.
Draw (Su)
Also, at 1st level, a votary utilizes the kami’s blessing from within his knick knack box. As a swift action, he may call upon the kami to manifest a symbol upon his knick knack box at random, roll a 1d6 (see below). Once drawn, a votary may imbue the effects of the kami on a single target within 30 feet, causing the symbol upon the knick knack box to go blank. At 5th level and every four levels thereafter, the effects of the kami increase by 1. The duration of the kami’s effect lasts a number of rounds equal to the votary’s Wisdom modifier. The votary may use this ability a number of times per day equal to his astrologian level + his Wisdom modifier.

Royal Road (Su)
At 4th level, the votary’s worshipping practice has grown considerably, allowing him to augment the blessings of his kami. After he uses the Draw ability, he may use a free action to convert that kami into an empowerment for a future reading. This empowerment affects the next kami that the votary uses to empower an ally, from either the Draw ability or Spread ability.
- If Seiryu or Susano are drawn, the effects are doubled.
- If Tsukuyomi or Byakko are drawn, the duration is doubled.
- If Suzaku or Genbu are drawn, all allies within a 20-ft.-radius of the votary receive the effects.
This ability modifies royal road.
Minor Arcana (Su)
At 5th level, as a free action, the votary converts the currently drawn kami into Izanagi when Suzaku, Tsukuyomi, or Seiryu, or Izanami when Byakko, Genbu, or Susano.
- Izanagi (Su): This card grants the bonuses of all three kami of Suzaku, Tsukuyomi, and Seiryu.
- Izanami (Su): This card grants the bonuses of all three kami of Byakko, Genbu, and Susano.
The votary can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + his Wisdom modifier.
This ability modifies minor arcana.
