Archetype	Description
Herald of Woe	While astrologians may be viewed as benevolent or aloof fortune tellers, heralds of woe are better known as cold harbingers of misfortune—though some might go so far as to say that the heralds are themselves the cause of their ill tidings.
Keeper	The keeper is a repository for all the beliefs and vast knowledge of an elvaan people. She shows a strong interest in and understanding of histories and creation legends at a young age, and as she matures her calling to serve as the memory of her long-lived people becomes clear to all who know her. Available only to elvaan astrologians.
Lantern-Bearer	Tonkins bear lanterns to guard and light the way. Lantern-bearers devote themselves and harness the power of the lanterns to fight the darkness. Available only to tonkin astrologians.
Mystic	The mystic believes that violence is sometimes necessary, but knowing and understanding is the true root of perfection. Through meditation and spiritual visions, a mystic can see beyond the veil of reality to the underlying truth of all existence.
Oracle	Although the gods work through many agents, perhaps none is more mysterious than the oracle. These divine vessels are granted power without their choice, selected by providence to wield powers that even they do not fully understand. Unlike a cleric, who draws her magic through devotion to a deity, oracles garner strength and power from many sources, namely those patron deities who support their ideals. Instead of worshiping a single source, oracles tend to venerate all of the gods that share their beliefs. While some see the powers of the oracle as a gift, others view them as a curse, changing the life of the chosen in unforeseen ways.
Psychic	Within the mind of any sentient being lies power to rival that of the greatest magical artifact or holy site. By accessing these staggering vaults of mental energy, the psychics can shape the world around them, the minds of others, and pathways across the planes. They are capable of manipulating invisible force to wield a weapon at a distance as if they were right up next to their enemies, staying safe from danger while still inflicting damage both martial and magical.
Stargazer	An astrologian who spends much time studying the paths of the stars will discover the most truly influential domains of the heavens: the constellations of the zodiac. These twelve signs dominate the events of the world from behind the scenes, and they call for a finely attuned spirit to best mark their passing. Stargazers are devotees of this kind, and their knowledge of the celestial sphere is unmatched.
Votary	Both Kojin of the Blue and Red harbor a deep respect for the kami within mundane items, and offer them worship. These kojin are aware of the powers the kami hold, and may grant blessings or strike with their might. To them, a red feather holds more value and power than some materia of a known deity, as this is their way of life. Even in times of conflict, they make time to give praise and thanks to these kami that watch over them. Available only to kojin astrologians.
